What is AlloSure Kidney?
AlloSure® Kidney is a specialized blood test your transplant doctor may use to help monitor the health of your transplanted kidney.
AlloSure can detect early signs of transplant injury or rejection—often before signs and symptoms appear. For example, AlloSure has been shown to increase a median of three months before the detection of another leading marker of rejection.¹,²
How it works
AlloSure measures how much DNA from your transplanted kidney has been released into your bloodstream. This is called donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA).
If the transplanted kidney is experiencing active injury, it releases more of its DNA into the bloodstream. Rising levels of dd-cfDNA can be an early sign of injury to the transplanted kidney.

How do I access my results?
You can access your AlloSure Kidney results through the CareDx patient portal. Your results are also shared directly with your transplant care team.
Your transplant team may review your results alongside routine lab work, symptoms, and other monitoring information to help understand the health of your transplanted kidney over time.
What do my results mean?
AlloSure gives your doctor more information about your kidney. Your transplant team looks at how your results change over time, rather than a single result.

Your doctor orders the test
Your transplant team will prescribe AlloSure as part of your monitoring plan.
Your blood draw
A trained phlebotomist draws a small blood sample—usually at a lab, your transplant center, or another convenient location close to you.
Your sample is processed
Your blood sample is sent to a CareDx laboratory, where it is analyzed.
Results go to your doctor
Your AlloSure results are sent directly to your transplant care team, who will review them with you.

AlloSure is covered by Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans if coverage criteria are met. Coverage varies for commercial and Medicaid plans.
